There's no rule saying if any casualties go on a flanking / rear attacking Unit, so I assume that a Unit engaged to the front will fight to the front only. Note, there's no rules regarding conforming to the facing of a contacted Unit, nor from what angle one is permitted to strike the front / flank / rear. Cav1 isn't allowed to also contact the front - only one unit may contact another on each facing, front/rear and each flank. The SW Cav Units engage Wb1 - on the front Cav2.
